Who would have thought that the Honolulu Surf Film Festival would thrive for ten years. One reason is the concerted effort of the festival organizers to bring in celebrity surf personalities on the opening and closing nights. Spearheading this accomplishment is Anna Trent Moore of the Bud Browne Film Archives. Anna is able to lure the earliest surfing luminaries to participate in panel discussions following the Bud Browne films. This 10th year filled the stage again highlighted by a surprise slide show by Clyde Aikau.
Clyde's slide show has been separated into its own video and can be found under the YOU TUBE title "Honolulu Surf Film Festival 2017 Clyde Aikau's 'Eddie ' Story "
This video's highlight is a special commentary by Joe Quigg on the influence of women in surfing and surfboard shaping.
